History of Education and Village Institute's Archieves in Turkey
We are a Ankara based
|
The İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Archives Foundation was founded in Ankara in 2012 by Dr.Engin Tonguç, the son of İsmail Hakkı Tonguç. The purpose of the foundation is to collect, maintain and provide visual and written documentation regarding the Village Institutes to academics, researchers and historians.
Nearly 60,000 visual and written documents have been digitized by the foundation and the whole of this archive and library will soon be made available to researchers and the wider public by an University library in Ankara. Thus, we hope to make available documentation of the successful cultural and educational practices of the Turkish Village Institutes system. |
